The HONE Nanotechnology Aluminium Gateway Collector is a component part of a Nanotechnology Heat Engine. (Please read the HONE Product FAQ). We supply whole systems complete for installation. The HONE 501T MODEL produces high temperature heat to be used in processes that use heating, cooling & other heating or cooling dependent processes.

A HONE system will have a specific order list. Only HONE components can be used and should only used as they are off a much higher specification and temperature range. HONE is a high temperature/high performance Heat Engine.

NOTE: HONE systems are supplied via our distributors and dealers, we provide design guidance. (We will supply systems larger than 40 sqm directly if no distributor is currently available in your country). For guidance, 40 sqm is large detached domestic or small commercial system.

Frequently Asked Questions


How does a HONE system produce both thermal energy & electricity, is it like PVT ?
No, a PVT panel is a simple Solar Photovoltaic panel with a water jacket attached to the back. Solar PV panels lose efficiency (posh name for output) when they heat up so cooling them down makes sense. A PVT panel dumps this low temperature water into something. The problem with PVT is that the PV element wants to be as cool as possible and the thermal element wants to be as hot as possible but they are stuck together so one undermines the physics of the other. HONE Thermal/Electric consists of 2 independent production layers, the electric layer works from diffused light and runs cooler than equivalent solar PV and hence has a longer life. The Thermal HONE element is connected to a Nanotechnology Heat engine and the extraordinary high temperature results are well published.
Why has HONE a 50 year design life and what does that mean ?
HONE is designed as a premium product manufactured from aluminium just like performance cars. All the materials used in the manufacture of HONE are long life materials designed to meet a 50 year design life. HONE is a very powerful technology so we can afford to invest more in high class materials and design. We supply full systems as all the components are designed to be high performance materials.
What are the advantages of having both FREE Thermal and Electricity production in one solution ?
Having a dual energy technology means you get two outputs (heating & electricity) from one product. The saving on installation cost is significant and if you have limited roof space, you can now utilise it for the production of two types of renewable energy.
Is HONE the highest performing renewable technology available ?
HONE has the highest certified output per sqm with full output plus building energy efficiency savings added together totaling more than 3,000 kWhrs/m2 which is revolutionary.
Is it true that existing renewable heating technologies are very old and HONE is brand new ?
Yes, and this is the most cost effective way of implementing HONE in a new build.
Can I get this technology anywhere else ?
No, you cannot get HONE Nanotechnology anywhere else in the world. We own this technology, we invented this technology and it is proprietary to us.
What warranties are available ?
This limited warranty policy (“this policy”) applies to the HONE501 product named above “Product” listed in this policy. Product refers to product purchased by an end user from an authorised distributor and/or dealers with the required installer certification & competency applied to the installation.

Installation: Installations where the installer cannot or did not demonstrate minimum installer competency will not be covered by warranty. Installations where the installer did not comply with manufacturer’s instructions will not be covered by warranty.

Warranties: The following limited warranties set forth in this policy subject to the terms, conditions and exclusions provided for herein. We herby warrant and represent that, 5* (five) or 10** (ten) years from the date of delivery of any HONE collector to the customer, it shall be free from manufacturing defects resulting in leakage of heat transfer liquid when operating within specified allowable pressure limits, allowable temperature limits and using approved liquids, provided that this limited warranty excludes: 1) To conditions resulting from a failed component or part that is not part of the HONE manufactured components. 2) To freeze damage. 3) To conditions resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, accident, or alteration. 4) To conditions resulting from the introduction of harmful chemicals, caustic fluids, or including improperly applied or maintained heat transfer fluids. 5) To excessive pressure. 6) To conditions resulting from floods, earthquakes, winds, fire, lightning, or circumstances beyond the manufacturer’s control. 7) To installation methods which do not conform to relevant national, state or local codes and ordinances, good industry practices or applicable manuals, diagrams, technical bulletins or written installation instructions; and, to applications other than those authorised. 8) To glass breakage or glass service. 9) To systems without online data connections where required. 10) To systems that don’t meet design guidance.

For a customer to receive any remedies in connection with a breach of this limited warranty, the following conditions must have been met:

1) Customer must provide HONE Distributor or Dealer with a detailed photograph of the HONE collector showing the water loss in dry weather plus a photograph of the serial number label. 2) Customer must quote the serial number when making a claim. 3) The installation must have been through and passed commissioning by the installer. 4) The HONE warranty registration must have been completed by the installer within 30 days of the installation completing. 5) The HONE collector must be stored for no more than 90 days and must be made available for inspection to our designated representatives. 6) To obtain service under this warranty, the owner must first secure written authorization from HONE. The owner shall be required to show proof of purchase.

For the avoidance of doubt:

*Standard limited warranty period is for 5 years on the collector. **When the collectors are installed by a trained and authorised installer & installed to manufacturer’s instructions, this limited warranty is extended to 10 years subject to the terms and conditions listed.

All domestic installations involving central heating and all commercial installations are required to be connected into HONE cloud subject to the commissioning protocol. (i.e. before filling the system).

WARNING: Installations installed without online connection which require online connection as per manufacturer’s instructions have no warranty provision.
What type of quality is your products made to ?
Our product standards are military grade. Picture better than Premium German standards. Our testing is done by TUV Rhineland and we only use aluminium as a base metal. Every component in the whole system is manufactured to the highest standards possible.
